Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the people who run SayScreen. By using sayscreen.com or the SayScreen app, you agree to them, so please read them. If you use SayScreen for an organization, you accept them on its behalf.

Who we are

SayScreen is built and run by WesGPT (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hey@sayscreen.com.

Your account

You need an account to make videos. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You must be at least 16, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Recording other sites and accounts

SayScreen works in a real browser, inside the accounts you sign in to. So:

• Only record sites and accounts you're allowed to use, and follow those sites' own terms.
• Where you can, use a demo or staging account with sample data.
• SayScreen is built to avoid destructive actions, such as deleting data, making payments or emailing real people, unless your lesson asks for them. It can still make mistakes. You're responsible for what happens in your accounts, so check your prompt and the result.
• Don't record other people's personal information unless you have the right to.

Acceptable use

Don't use SayScreen to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• make videos that are misleading, harmful or infringing;
• clone a voice that isn't yours without its owner's permission;
• get around security measures or usage limits, or interfere with the service or other people using it;
• resell access to SayScreen without our permission.

Your content

As between you and us, you own what you put into SayScreen (start pages, prompts, edits and voice samples) and the videos it makes for you. You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run SayScreen for you. You're responsible for having the rights to what you record and publish, including other companies' software, names and logos that appear on screen.

AI output

Scripts, narration and edits are generated by AI and can be wrong. Review every video before you publish it.

Plans and payment

The free plan's limits are on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Except where the law says otherwise, payments aren't refundable. If we change a price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it affects your plan.

Changes to SayScreen

We keep improving SayScreen, so features change. We'll give notice before removing anything important from a paid plan.

Ending your use

You can stop using SayScreen and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts SayScreen or other people at risk; where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first.

Disclaimer

SayScreen is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, including that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its videos will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, or because you used SayScreen in breach of these terms, you'll cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect; using SayScreen after that means you accept them. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
