Scribe pricing
Scribe's Basic plan is free in the browser. Pro Personal is $35 per seat a month ($25 billed yearly), and Pro Team is $17 per seat a month ($13 billed yearly) from 5 seats. Enterprise is custom. Scribe makes written guides rather than videos, so its plans count seats, not minutes.

- Pro Personal if you work alone or with one other person and need desktop capture or exports.
- Pro Team if three or more of you need Pro, even if you don't fill all 5 seats.
- Enterprise if you need SSO, translation or automatic redaction of sensitive data.
Pro Personal or Pro Team: which is cheaper?
Pro Team has a 5-seat minimum, so it costs $85 a month however few of you there are, or $65 on yearly billing. From 3 people, that's less than Pro Personal, which fits Scribe's own advice that Pro Team suits teams of 3 or more.

What to watch for
- Everyone on the team becomes a paid seat
- Pro is billed at the team level, so upgrading a team upgrades everyone in it, and you can't mix free and paid seats. To pay for only a few people, put them in a separate team.
- Desktop capture needs Pro
- Basic captures in the browser only. Scribe's desktop app, for capturing software outside the browser, is on Pro and Enterprise.
- Translation and auto-redaction are Enterprise
- Both are listed on the custom plan, along with SSO, so a team that needs any of them skips straight past Pro.
- There are discounts to ask for
- Scribe has a Pro discount for schools with an .edu address and for 501(c)(3) nonprofits or the equivalent abroad, through a form on its pricing page.
Scribe and SayScreen on price
Scribe and SayScreen make different things, so compare them on the job. Scribe's output is a written guide people can skim and search. SayScreen's is a narrated, edited video of a web app, recorded by AI: $1 for your first 7 days, then $29 a month for 30 videos, up to 10 minutes each. If your team runs on written SOPs, Scribe is the better fit.
