The 10 best AI demo video generators

Most tools sold as an AI product demo video generator still need you to record the screen, or make a video from a script that never touches your product. On these 10, AI drives your real app in a browser, directly or through a script it writes, and the demo gets recorded without you. SayScreen is one of them and it's ours, so it's labeled, and each entry says when to choose something else.

The 10 tools, one by one

SayScreen comes first because this is its website. The others aren't in order of merit: each entry says who it suits and when to choose something else.

1. SayScreen

Our product

Give it a start page and describe the lesson. Its AI drives a real Chrome browser through your web app, writes the narration as it works, voices it and edits the recording with zooms, a gliding cursor and captions.

Best for a finished, narrated video of a web app, where you sign in yourself.

Where it's strong

You sign in on your app's own sign-in page, shown inside SayScreen: single sign-on and 2-step codes work, and what you type is never saved or logged. Rewrite a line and it's re-voiced and re-timed without recording again. Discovery suggests videos worth making, and the AI writes YouTube titles and a description and makes a thumbnail. One plan counts videos: 30 a month, up to 10 minutes each.

Choose something else if

you need a clickable demo, a written guide, translation, an on-screen presenter, hosted share links or team seats: it makes video only. The same goes if your app isn't reachable on the internet, or signs in only with passkeys or security keys.

What you get
MP4 at 1080p and 60 fps, widescreen or vertical, plus an .srt file
Free to try
No free plan; $1 for 7 days
Paid plans from
$29/mo

2. Demosmith

A browser agent that opens your product in a cloud browser, signs in and clicks through the flow while it records. Demosmith says most runs finish in eight to ten minutes.

Best for one run that gives you a video, a clickable demo and a written guide.

Where it's strong

On paid plans, one run can return an MP4, an interactive demo and a guide in Markdown, HTML, PDF or plain text, in any of 31 languages. The guide costs half an AI minute more, and Starter includes 5 interactive demos a month. Seats are free, so the whole team can share a plan.

Choose something else if

you expect to edit a lot: you pay per finished minute and edits cost minutes too, with a narration fix at half the video's length. If the agent clicks the wrong steps, an edit can't change the footage, so it's charged as a new demo.

What you get
MP4 (16:9, 1080p on Starter), clickable demo and written guide
Free to try
3-day trial: 1 demo, 2 minutes, with a watermark
Paid plans from
$40/mo, or $33/mo yearly

3. Bingeable

One sentence is the whole brief. Its AI agent plans the path, signs in and performs every click in a cloud browser while it writes the narration, then returns a narrated, captioned, chaptered video.

Best for hosted tutorials you embed, with an optional digital twin of you presenting.

Where it's strong

Plans are priced per workspace, so everyone shares one. Growth adds AI shorts, social scheduling and a digital twin: your face in the corner and your cloned voice. AI assistants can start and find videos through its MCP connector.

Choose something else if

you need many videos a month on a small budget: Starter includes 4 and Growth 12. The free video is hosted with a badge, and MP4 downloads start on Starter.

What you get
Hosted video and embed; MP4 from Starter
Free to try
1 video and 2 AI edits, hosted, with a badge
Paid plans from
$49/mo, or $39/mo yearly

4. Glimeo

Its AI agent walks through your app and turns the flow into a video with narration, smooth zooms and an optional presenter. The same capture can become a clickable demo at no extra generation credits.

Best for a low-cost start, with a clickable demo included.

Where it's strong

You review the agent's storyboard before it records, and paid plans include 15 visual updates a month that keep your voice and your published link. It also takes a walkthrough you record yourself or a video you upload.

Choose something else if

you're in the EU or EEA, where creation and purchases aren't available, or your videos run past 2 minutes on Starter or 3 on Pro. The agent mode is still labeled beta, and monthly credits don't roll over.

What you get
MP4 with captions, plus a clickable demo
Free to try
1 voiceover demo: 1 minute, 720p, with a watermark
Paid plans from
$29/mo, or $290 a year

5. Vidocu

Give it a task and its AI Recorder agent opens your product, navigates the flow and records a walkthrough. It's one part of a wider platform for SOPs, help articles and training.

Best for documentation teams that want an article and screenshots with every video.

Where it's strong

One run returns a video, step screenshots and an article. It can record a desktop or mobile viewport, re-run a saved session when the interface changes, and stop to explain when a flow is blocked instead of guessing.

Choose something else if

you only want video and will make a lot of it: by Vidocu's own table, Starter's 400 credits a month cover about 8 minutes of AI video and Pro's 1,500 about 30. The AI Recorder isn't on the free plan.

What you get
Video, step screenshots and an article
Free to try
200 credits once, without the AI Recorder
Paid plans from
$19/mo, or $13/mo yearly

6. DashCast

Paste a link and say what to explain. Its AI signs in with a test account, reads your pages and writes a scenario; an automated browser then plays it, records it, and adds voice and subtitles.

Best for long tutorial libraries on a small budget, with every click under your control.

Where it's strong

It charges for video minutes, and they cost little: 300 a month for $9. The scenario is a file you can edit line by line or in its Scene Designer, so a changed button means one edit and a new render.

Choose something else if

you need an MP4 to host yourself: it's built around publishing to a page for your customers, and while its try-it demo has a Download button, its plans don't say whether they export MP4. Plans are prepaid, and its pricing lists payment in USDT.

What you get
A published video with voice and subtitles
Free to try
10 video minutes at sign-up, no card
Paid plans from
$9/mo, or $5 once for 100 minutes

7. Woxgen

Mainly a tool that turns your screen recording into a narrated demo. Its Auto-Record mode is an AI agent that opens your app, signs in, explores and records the screens you approve.

Best for demos you mostly record yourself, plus a few the AI records.

Where it's strong

A one-off $5 covers one video from your own recording, with no subscription. Every shot, line and caption can be edited on a timeline before you render, and narration comes in 25+ languages.

Choose something else if

you want the AI to record most of your videos: Teams includes 3 Auto-Records a month and Pro 7, with extra packs for sale, and it isn't part of the $5 option or the Plus plan.

What you get
1080p MP4, with no watermark
Free to try
Free sign-up and a 15-second preview
Paid plans from
$49/mo for Auto-Record

8. Flowcorder

Describe a flow in plain English and its AI writes a Playwright capture script, which runs against your app on your own machine. It then adds a smooth cursor, zooms, captions and an optional AI voiceover.

Best for developers who want a script they can run, even against localhost.

Where it's strong

It runs and renders locally, so nothing goes to a hosted editor, and the example on its site records localhost. One script renders both 16:9 and 9:16. When the interface changes, re-run the script.

Choose something else if

you'd rather not open a terminal: you run it yourself, starting from the command line. Companies with 4 or more employees need a paid license after a 60-day evaluation.

What you get
MP4 at 16:9 and 9:16, or a GIF
Free to try
Free for individuals and companies of up to 3 people
Paid plans from
$20/mo per seat

9. Tella

Tella is a screen recorder and editor. Its Auto Capture, in beta on paid plans, is an AI agent that opens a web page in its own browser, plans a walkthrough, checks that it works and films it with an animated cursor.

Best for teams already editing in Tella who'll narrate the video themselves.

Where it's strong

The take comes back as an editable Tella recording with chapters and suggested cuts, ready for its timeline and transcript editing. AI apps connected to Tella's MCP server can start a take.

Choose something else if

you want the narration done for you: Tella doesn't generate voiceovers. Every take uses credits, a free trial can't start one, and it can't record localhost, intranet hosts or sites that block automated browsers.

What you get
An editable recording in Tella, with no AI voiceover
Free to try
No free plan; the 7-day trial can't start a take
Paid plans from
$26/mo per user, or $13/mo yearly

10. Clueso

An AI video platform whose Enterprise plan adds browser agents: they log into a demo or staging account, record the flow themselves, then add the voiceover, zooms, callouts and branding.

Best for enterprise teams that want videos updated whenever they ship.

Where it's strong

Connect GitHub and Clueso can update videos when you ship, in every language your product supports. Each video arrives as an editable draft in a full editor, and it's SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified.

Choose something else if

you want AI recording without an Enterprise contract. Agents are on the Enterprise plan, which you buy after a demo call, and the auto-update agent is a paid add-on. On Free, Solo and Business you record the walkthrough yourself.

What you get
An editable draft, exported as MP4
Free to try
Agents aren't on the free plan
Paid plans from
Enterprise, custom price

Also worth knowing: Slideshot, an alpha, API-first service that drives your web app and returns an MP4, whose site doesn't mention narration and Videate, an enterprise platform that detects interface changes and refreshes tutorial videos, sold through a demo call.

How to choose between them

How it gets into your app
Nearly all of these sign in by themselves with a test account you hand over. That's easy for a demo account and awkward for single sign-on, or for a tool your IT team won't share a login for. SayScreen is the exception here: you sign in yourself and it keeps the session, not the password.
What you're charged for
The units differ: videos (SayScreen, Bingeable), finished minutes (Demosmith, DashCast), credits (Glimeo, Vidocu, Tella) or runs (Woxgen). Work out the price of the number of videos you'd really make, including the ones you'd run twice.
What you take away
Check that you can download a file on the plan you're buying. Bingeable's MP4 downloads start on Starter, DashCast is built around its own published page, and Tella returns a recording for you to finish in its editor.
How you fix a mistake
Agents take wrong turns. Ask what a re-run costs and what you can change without one. Demosmith charges a new demo for a new recording, and DashCast and Flowcorder let you edit the script. SayScreen lets you rewrite narration or drop a step and render again, but a wrong turn you can't cut around means recording again.
Where it can reach
A cloud browser needs a page it can open from the internet. Tella says Auto Capture can't record localhost, intranet hosts or sites that block automated browsers, and SayScreen can't reach private networks or VPNs, so ask the others before you buy. Flowcorder runs on your own machine, so it can reach localhost.
Whether you can buy it today
Tella's Auto Capture and Glimeo's agent mode are labeled beta. Clueso's agents need an Enterprise contract, Glimeo isn't sold in the EU or EEA, and DashCast's pricing lists payment in USDT.
