How it works

Support and customer-success teams need a lot of short how-to videos, and every one of them goes stale the next time a button moves. Recording them by hand is the bottleneck. SayScreen makes each one from a short brief: which page, which steps, in what order.

The app explores the page first, so the narration refers to the real controls by their real names. You read the script, then it records: the pointer clicks through the steps, the camera zooms to each field as it is mentioned, and the captions follow the voice word by word.

When the product changes, run the brief again and the video updates. A help centre full of walkthroughs stops being a maintenance problem.

Can I give it exact steps?

Yes. Write the steps in the brief in order, and the script follows them. Leave it vaguer and the app decides what is worth showing.

What if a step needs data that only exists after login?

Save the signed-in page with the free Chrome extension and SayScreen records that copy. The app never sees your password.

How long can a video be?

Most tutorials come out between thirty seconds and two minutes. Longer briefs make longer videos; split a big topic into a few short ones for the best result.
