What's new in SayScreen

The latest changes to SayScreen, newest first. It's the same list as the What's new window in the app.

  1. Smoother videos of busy pages

    • Busy pages come through smoothly. Pages with a lot of movement, like a full-screen animation or a video playing behind the page, now record much more smoothly, and words typed on them appear letter by letter instead of a few at a time.

  2. 50 lo-fi tracks to choose from

    • SayScreen music. Pick from 50 lo-fi tracks under Music, free to use in your videos. Each plays quietly under the narration and loops smoothly in longer videos.

    • Favorites. Star the songs you like and they stay at the top of the list, on any device.

  3. More natural typing, and menus kept in view

    • Typing in time with the narration. Words now go in while the narration plays, at the pace a person types, instead of all at once after the sentence ends.

    • Menus stay in the shot. When a click opens a menu, the camera keeps all of it in view.

    • No extra click before typing. After a double-click selects a word or a title, the new words go straight in over it.

  4. Your own voice, better thumbnails and your own music

    • Narrate with your own voice. Record a minute of yourself reading, and every video can be narrated in your voice. It's the first step for new accounts, and it's always in Your voices.

    • Thumbnail text where you want it. Put the words on the left, in the middle or on the right, and pick the color of the text and of the highlight.

    • Your own music. Upload a song to play quietly under the narration. It fades in and out, and loops smoothly in longer videos.

    • Finish now. Happy with what's recorded? Finish now ends the video there with a closing line.

    • Tell us what you think. Rate a finished video, request a feature or contact support from the menu at the top.
