Comparison

SayScreen vs Trupeer

Trupeer turns a recording you make into a polished training video (AI voiceover, automatic zooms, written docs) and is increasingly aimed at large software rollouts. SayScreen skips the recording: describe the lesson and its AI drives your web app, writes and voices the narration and edits the video. Pick Trupeer for SOPs and enterprise rollout tooling; pick SayScreen for finished videos you don't have to record.

Trupeer or SayScreen: which should you choose?

Choose Trupeer if…

  • You want SOPs, guides and process maps alongside every training video
  • You're rolling software out across a large organization and need approvals, PII blur, SSO and a hosted knowledge base (Enterprise)
  • You need translation (Scale and Enterprise) or custom voice and avatar clones (Enterprise)
  • You'd rather record yourself, in your own words, and let AI clean up the narration

Choose SayScreen if…

  • You don't want to record at all: the AI clicks through your app from a one-line prompt
  • You want your own cloned voice without an Enterprise contract
  • You want to rewrite a line and have it re-voiced and re-timed, or re-run the prompt after a redesign
  • You want a lower starting price: $29 a month after a $1 trial

Where Trupeer and SayScreen differ

Who records

With Trupeer you record a Chrome tab, a window or your whole screen with its extension, or upload a recording, and its AI turns the raw take into a polished video: a cleaned-up transcript, an AI voiceover and zooms on every click. With SayScreen you don't record: the AI performs the steps in a real Chrome browser and narrates as it goes.

Documents

Trupeer generates documents from the same recording (SOPs and guides, plus process diagrams) and exports DOC, PDF or Markdown on Pro and up. SayScreen's output is the video and its captions.

Credits and limits

Trupeer runs on AI credits (100 per minute of AI video), with 2,000 a month on Pro and recordings up to 10 minutes. SayScreen counts videos: 30 a month, each up to 10 minutes, and re-rendering an edited video doesn't count as a new one.

Pricing

Trupeer Pro is $49 a month ($40 billed yearly) for one creator, Scale $249 ($199 billed yearly) for three, and Enterprise is custom; its free plan is labeled “for 10 days”. SayScreen is $1 for your first 7 days, then $29 a month for 30 videos, up to 10 minutes each.
